I don't know about you but my kitchen cabinetry can ALWAYS use a little cleaning and sprucing up! Especially our kitchen's corner cabinet. It's a tricky little space that always seems to collect random items {at least in our home}. I wanted to put an end to that and finally get it organized and make it functional. So, I made a few Lazy Susans, to give the cabinetry that much needed accessibility it was missing!
Here's what our catch-all-cabinet looked like to begin with. It was a crazy mess!
Before I could truly get going though, I had to make a quick run to Target and pick up some cleaning supplies to deep clean the cabinets. I mainly needed some non-scratch sponges, but I also picked up some Scotch-Brite® heavy duty scrub sponges and Scotch-Brite® Heavy Duty Soap Dispensing Dishwand just in case {It's always nice to have the right tools for every surface}.
Side note: these are my favorite sponges for cleaning up tough messes, and not just in the kitchen {think, garage, grill & bathroom}.
Once home, I emptied out the cabinet and sorted through the random items. Then got started prepping the cabinets {aka cleaning them with a little water and soap}.
This is a good time to remove the shelves from the cabinet, so when you're inserting the lazy susan you have ample room to do so.
Oh and I found this round wood piece from the hardware store, they come in an 18" diameter and fit perfectly in our corner cabinet!
I wanted to make the Lazy Susan a little prettier, so I added a faux marble adhesive vinyl. I simply trimmed the sides with scissors, but if you have an exacto-knife that works too!
Next, I flipped the wood piece over and attached the Lazy-Susan mechanism. You can find this at your local hardware store.

The last thing I did was paint the sides white, to give it a seamless look.
