My Simple Modest Chic: Gift in a Crate~ Daddy's Hospital Survival Kit!

With our delivery day coming up & our hospital bags already packed, I wanted to make a thoughtful DIY gift for the hubby. Something that would make his life just a tad bit easier when he's at the hospital with me & that would let him know how much I appreciate him.
I give you: Gift In a Crate, a Daddy's Hospital Survival Kit;).

Okay, so it's a fancy crate filled with yummy snacks & a super cool Infinity One portable speaker. Hey, you can't blame a girl for getting gifts that are also really cool & handy to have around during delivery & labor:D. All kidding aside, Kyle will absolutely love this gift!

I looked online for awhile to try to find him some cool tech items he would enjoy while he was at the hospital as well as in his everyday life. But I kept coming back to this one...

Since, Kyle is a huge sports enthusiast & plays basketball, tennis & golf on a weekly basis. I decided that the convenience of having his music available anytime through a powerful, compact speaker would be a perfect fit for him. So, I opted for this portable speaker, which I'm sure will thoroughly enhance his experience while doing sports.

So here's what I did to make the gift a tad bit fancier...

I started out with a manly crate:).

Then, I added tissue paper to prevent the gifts from dropping to the bottom. Because, it makes it way more fun, when you can see the gifts popping out of the crate, right?

For a sleeker look, I wrapped the water bottles with gold craft tape.

Then, added them to the crate.

Next I grabbed all my snacks {chips, gum, mints & candy} & dolled them up with the help of clear bags, baker's twine, & "thank you" cards. I really like how it turned out.

Then I repeated, until all the gifts were complete. Then tossed them in the crate.

Lastly, I added the portable Infinity speaker in the crate & that's it! Easy, right?
